The concept of the Euro4Education Campaign has been created in order to support the Shambhala Foundation. Shambhala is a registered charity and all income generated from the Euro4Education Campaign will go directly to help support the vulnerable youth of Mallorca who lack education, security and opportunity.


The concept has been developed due to the interest and support from  local restaurants and businesses on the island that may not have disposable cash, but still are eager to participate and collaborate in their support for the Foundation. By displaying the campaign marketing material that a Euro will be added to the customer’s  bill, enables the community to support this incredibly worthwhile project.


The concept is not a new idea and is currently being operated abroad (e.g. StreetSmart in the UK) in a new wave of highly successful fund-raising initiatives that seeks to acquire volume of small donations to create the funds to sustain vital projects to support the local community.


The added Euro is a VOLUNTARY contribution and there is NO obligation for the customer to participate, there is no cost to the business and minimal administration as they will simply incorporate a Shambhala button on their till and unless otherwise indicated from the customer, collect the euro on behalf of Shambhala. At the end of every month the money collected will be paid by transfer into the Shambhala Foundation registered charity account.


The campaign was launched in the summer of 2015 with a few test location restaurants and we were overwhelmed with the success of the campaign. With just a few restaurants participating in the test we raised enough to take on a number of new youths and pay their college fees including one youth who is following his dream to become a psychologist and another a lawyer,  we are therefore motivated and encouraged to take the campaign further in 2016.
